Choosing Your Executor

An Executor needs to take on multiple roles.
Choose wisely!

Who do you choose to undertake this important role? An executor should be more than a person you can trust.

An Executor (or a personal representative) is a named person in your Will responsible for gathering your assets, accurately reporting them to the court, before subsequently distributing them according to your Will. The Executor(s) have to deal with many different administrative tasks while keeping the beneficiaries in the loop. If your Will involves the creation of a trust for investment purposes, then your Executor(s) should also ideally be financially literate.
